Jingwen(Pino) Cao
Pino Cao is a Mississauga-based artist and illustrator whose work explores the relationship between science and art. She studied animation at Sheridan College, where she received the Walt Disney Bursary and first prize in the CICAN 2021 Student Showcase.
With a background in both art and civil engineering, Pino brings together technical thinking and expressive visual language in her creative practice. Her artworks often explore emotions, memories, and human experiences through colour palettes, character interactions, and storytelling.
Pino actively participates in art exhibitions, public art projects, book publishing, and local art fairs. Her work has been exhibited at juried shows including the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair (2025 Curated Collection). She has participated in the Lakeshore Art Trail in Mississauga, Riverdale ArtWalk in Toronto, and other regional exhibitions.
She has collaborated with the City of Mississauga on public art initiatives, including the 2023 Mississauga Light Pole Banners project. Through her practice, Pino continues to explore connections between personal stories, imagination, and structured ways of thinking.
